Miyahara Yoshihisa (宮原義久)
Yoshihisa MIYAHARA (1577 -January 7, 1631) was a Koke-Hatamoto (direct retainer of the bakufu who were in a privileged family under Tokugawa Shogunate) during the Edo Period. His real family name was Genji. His family line run through Kwachi-Genji (Minamoto clan) pedigree among one of Seiwa-Genji (Minamoto clan).
He was descendant of Kamakura kubo (Governor of the Kamakura region) Motouji ASHIKAGA who was the fourth son to the first Ashikaga Shogunate family Takauji ASHIKAGA>
He was the second son to Yoshikatsu MIYAHARA. His mother was a daughter of Nobumasa MARIYA. His common name was Kangoro.
In 1602, He succeeded the reigns of the family after his elder brother Yoshiteru MIYAHARA. According to "Kansei Choshu Shokafu" (A record of family trees of samurai warriors of Edo bakufu), he was appointed to the position of no particular title but with a status of honorable family to live in the assigned territory and contribute to Bakufu as needed. He was presumed to be treated almost same as omote-daka ke. Also it was ordered by Shogun Ieyasu TOKUGAWA for the marriage of the daughter of Katsuyori TAKEDA, Sada, and bear the family name Miyahara only for the family head and his legitimate child and to bear the name of Anayama for the child born out of wedlock. He went to war during the Osaka Summer Seige accompanying Hidetada and took up the position to defend Nijo-jo Castle. He died on January 7, 1630 at age 54. His posthumous Buddhist name was Muneshige.
His lawful wife was the daughter of Katsunori TAKEDA, Sada-hime. He had a son Harukatsu MIYAHARA.
